The Problem

The task was to create a 5-minute Rise 360 training module as part of a Train-the-Trainer course on conflict resolution.
The proposed course needed to be founded in research and provide learners with an effective overview of the following topics:

1. Identifying Kinds of Conflicts
2. Starting with Objective Data & "I" Statements
3. Using Active Listening & Empathy
4. Negotiating for Resolution

The course needed feature a range of media & interactive elements. It needed to be written in a clear, informative manner for learners with a range of educational backgrounds. Users needed to be able to access the course and supplemental activities on a variety of devices.
The Solution

I started by researching conflict resolution in the workplace, using resources from Forbes, Psychology Today, and other established experts. Next, I assembled my notes into an outline and developed it into a script. Finally, I created the course on Rise 360, incorporating publicly available media from Pexels as well as animated segments I created myself on Vyond & supplemental materials created on Google Workspace.
With this course, I can empower learners to teach each other about the art of conflict resolution.
